Sarteneja has been linked to the rest of Belize by land for less than 40 years—roads used to be rugged, and unpacked. Now most of the roads coming here from Belize City are paved (or in the process). You can rent a car and drive here, or take the water taxi from San Pedro (stops at the main pier). Renting a vehicle would be a good option if you plan to go out and explore the surrounding areas. Flying in? All major airlines go to Belize City.
There are several shuttle services available from the airport as well as regular buses that come to Sarteneja on a daily basis and will bring you right to our door.
